Osteon Medical and Kyocera announce collaborative partnership to bring digital solutions to the Japanese dental implant market.
Kyocera Corporation (President: Hideo Tanimoto) announced today that it has entered into a business partnership with Osteon Digital Japan, the Japanese branch of Osteon Medical (CEO: Michael Tuckman), for continuous sales transactions, beginning sales of customized dental prosthesis for implants utilizing Osteon Medical’s digital technology in September this year.
Kyocera introduced the first dental implant in Japan in 1978, and has expanded its business into implant systems. FINESIA ®*, which was developed based on the results of industry-university joint research to stably function in the oral cavity of patients over the long term, having been used by many users, mainly in Japan.
Osteon Medical has developed high-precision CAD/CAM implant prosthesis technology using digital solutions over the last decade, providing customized dental prosthesis in the local Australian market and overseas. With recent years seeing advanced development of IO scanning technologies with first-to-market digital workflows.
This collaboration will enable all Japanese dental professionals access to Osteon’s innovative dental technology, which aims to meet the needs of dentists and dental laboratories, currently unable to be fulfilled by conventional technology.
